In Our Community
At Synergy Franchising community means everything. We believe in being involved, in giving back and contributing where our community sees fit. From individual locations to every one of the team members we are proud to be an integral part of every community.
Jump Start Award
The Synergy Jumpstart Award was founded by two former Archbishop O’Leary graduates. Their goal is to give back to the school that gave them so much as well as to support young entrepreneurs.
Partnerships
Edmonton Oilers and Oil Kings
Our longstanding partnership with the Edmonton Oilers and Oil Kings is fun for sports spectators and chicken lovers alike. In addition to in game, interactive experiences like the Popeyes Minute, we design an Oilers Meal each season that comes with custom, limited edition Oilers memorabilia. There is nothing like hockey season in Oil Country!
Edmonton Stingers
The Edmonton Stingers are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Edmonton, Alberta. They compete in the Canadian Elite Basketball League and play their home games at the HIVE arena at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Although a newer sports team to Alberta, this partnership is an amazing opportunity for us to showcase the Popeyes Brand and culture in a fun, interactive, and colorful way!
Edmonton Elks
Our new partnership with the Edmonton Elks was a natural evolution once we figured out how much the players love Popeyes Louisiana Chicken! Popeyes take's over Commonwealth Stadium several times a game during the Popeyes Possession in hopes of every spectator winning free chicken nuggets! This family-focused CFL team provides affordable fun the whole summer and we are so honoured that they are fans of the Popeyes brand.
In the Community
Edmonton Oilers 50/50 Raffle
As a portion of our partnership with the Edmonton Oilers, we recently sponsored the Remax 50/50 (historically one of the largest charitable 50/50 raffles in Canada) to benefit Edmonton's e4c. e4c is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been working for over 50 years to help vulnerable people here and now. At the same time, they are working to prevent and eventually eliminate poverty by focusing on food security, shelter & housing, community & collaborations, and education & skill development.
YESS
Since the beginning, Synergy has always made it a priority to give back to local youth in need. Since 2020 we have made a commitment to a standing monthly meal donation to both YESS (Youth Empowerment & Support Services) locations. Based in Edmonton, Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) provides immediate and low-barrier 24/7 shelter, a drop-in resource centre, temporary supportive housing, temporary independent cohort housing, and individualized wrap-around support for young people aged 15–24. We are so happy to contribute to a local, safe space for at-risk youth that makes such a positive impact in the community.
Santa’s Anonymous
As we continue to expand across Northern Alberta we have been able to make a larger and larger impact on local families during the Holiday Season. In addition to a few car loads of gifts from us, our locations serve as donation centers to give back to Santa's Anonymous. Relying on thousands of volunteers and donors, 630 CHED Santas Anonymous now collects, sorts, packages, and delivers toys to over 20,000 children every year.
